Wordless Wednesday – 4 pictures are worth a 1000 words!
I so look forward to the first green of spring. This is sometime in May
Sometime in summer
Our lovely fall!
And now you know why I so look forward to Spring – Actually the snow has almost melted, but the pond is still frozen. We have had some days in the high 40s. When the day is bright and the wind is calm and the days are above freezing, it is good!

Letting the garden grow
I work as a "high end" gardener and I think your garden is lovely. In all the seasons.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Wow what a big difference! Even though I'm sure you get tired of the snow it does look pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful to see the seasons go by in your garden! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGloria, your garden looks lovely in the snow. But, I know what you mean, can't wait for spring.
ReplyDeleteEileen
Gloria, being a fall person, I especially love the third shot. The transitions seem slow in real time, but the difference between the seasons becomes so apparent presented like this. I'm amazed how much of your pond disappears under the winter snow though!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of your garden - it looks so lush and elegant all year round. Im loving the snow right now because finally i can say my garden looks the same as my neighbours!
ReplyDeleteWill, thank you - Today the temperature hit a amazing 50degrees - The snow is almost all melted, except for on the north side and that ice might last until spring. I went out and raked some leaves.
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine - the snow is pretty and kids love to play in it. I get a bit stir crazy if I can't get out :)
ReplyDeleteHi Carol -Thanks - you too must have beautiful seasons, even more with your fall colors
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen - yes, Spring is a happy time!
ReplyDeleteHi Clare - It funny to see the solid ice pond and see the birds walk on it, looking for a bit of melt
ReplyDeleteFree Range Girl - too funny! yes the snow is an equalizer
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks wonderful in every season. Merry Christmas. jim
ReplyDeleteBrrr... Despite the toll it takes, there is something beautiful about the garden all tucked under a blanket of snow, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteYour garden is really beautiful! I love your pond. Do you have a lot of wildlife that live in it?
ReplyDeleteHi Jim - thanks I imagine you're garden is also covered in snow :)
ReplyDeleteHi Grace - the garden look beautiful when the snow falls, but I can hardly wait for the warmth of spring
ReplyDeleteHi Ts - Thank you - the pond has fish that live in it all year. They go sort of dormant in the cold. I keep at least a hole open all year to keep the water healthy. Lot's of birds visit
ReplyDeleteHi, Gloria!
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! I hear you've had some chilly days. I'll bet the fishies are shivering in the pond.
Just stopped over to wish you a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for the call the other day. It was great to catch up with you. ;D
Even a covering of snow cannot hide the beauty of your gardens, Gloria.
ReplyDeleteGloria, it's so much fun to see someone's garden as it changes. As you said, four pics are worse a thousand words (or more). Merry Christmas.~~Dee
ReplyDeleteGloria, I love these four-season comparisons. It's clear that your garden is lovely in any season! Happy holidays. -Jean
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria, what a superb and fascinating way to illustrate the seasonal changes. I am inspired to try a similar thing but it won't be nearly so dramatic since our seasons are not nearly so variable. (It never snows). Hope you had a lovely christmas and happy new year. cheers, catmint
