Find The Verbascums

Spring time brings out the verbascums. They are related to common mullein, but by no means common. I started these beauties years ago from seed and they happily resow, here and there. They seem to love the little cracks in between my limestone walkways

In late May verbascums sprout new plants and last years plants get larger.

Early spring I set out a couple of tomatoes in “wall-o-waters”.
Perhaps next year I will find seeds of some other varieties of verbascums.

  1. Those verbascums are so beautiful. I have a friend here who is now growing them. They aren't common in Oklahoma for some reason. Love the bee shot. So nice to have honeybees. Your garden looks lovely. Thanks for the encouraging comment about my awful weather.~~Dee

  2. I planted a couple different kinds of verbascums this year, but they don't look like they will bloom. I hope they do OK over the winter.

    I sure like yours.
